OUR STORY

Our names are Annie and Tiffany. We are recent graduates of the University of Central Missouri, where we studied fashion merchandising. We created Derivé, an imagined wholesale line, as our final project for our product development class.

Derivé is inspired by the wandering lifestyle - in fact Derivé means "to drift unplanned." Our customers are creative and crave new adventures. They are the influencers of our friend groups. Derivé will create one of a kind experiences with our products by partnering with influencers to help design our products and hold seminars in stores that have our products.

This image, which is titled "beautiful decay" in the Light Magic report inspired our color palette.

Most of Derivé's inspiration came from WGSN A/W 19-20 vision - Light Magic. We feel that based off our target market research, the consumer described in the report, most closely aligns with our target market. They are concerned with experiences, sustainability, and buying products that none of the masses will have. Our color palette, silhouettes, and various details on our products are taken out of the Light Magic trend report.
